JB Harris Group is the trading name of JB Harris Transport, LLC and JB Harris Logistics, LLC, 37 Calumet Pkwy, Newnan, GA 30263. This policy explains what we collect through jbharrisgroup.com, our customer portal, and our driver careers site, and what we do with it.
What you give us
We only collect what you send us:
- Quote requests: your name, company, email, phone, the service you need, pickup and delivery locations, the equipment or commodity, dimensions, weight, quantity, pickup date, and any notes you add.
- Messages: your name, email, and what you write.
- Shipment tracking: the BOL number you enter.
- Customer setup and credit applications: business details, your accounts payable contact, and trade references.
- Job and driver applications: contact details, work history, your DOT safety performance history where you authorise us to request it, drug and alcohol policy acknowledgements, and your consent to email or text messages.
What is collected automatically
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We do not run advertising or tracking pixels. Website analytics is not switched on today. If we switch it on, we will update this policy first.
Why we use it
To prepare quotes, answer your messages, look up shipment status, set up accounts, review applications, keep our sites working, and meet legal and Department of Transportation requirements.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share phone numbers or text message consent with anyone else for their marketing. We do not build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who host our sites and deliver our email.
- Carriers, agents, and customs brokers, where that is needed to move your shipment.
- Screening providers for driver applications, with your authorisation.
- Anyone we are required to share with by law.
Text messages
If you opt in on our driver careers site, we may text you about your application or about openings. Reply STOP to any message to stop. Message and data rates may apply. We do not sell or share your number for marketing.
Cookies
Our site sets only the cookies it needs to work. Google Maps on our yard pages, and YouTube if you play a video, may set their own cookies when they load. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this section before doing so.
How long we keep it
- Quote requests and messages that do not become business: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Customer and shipment records: for the length of the relationship, plus the period tax and transport rules require.
- Driver applications: for the period Department of Transportation rules require.
Your choices
Email IT@jbharrisgroup.com to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We reply within 30 days. Some records we are legally required to keep.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee it.
Children
Our sites are for business use and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Other sites
We link to sites we do not control, including carrier portals, our customer portal, our driver careers site, and our social media pages. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
